Communication has always been at the heart of who I am.

Long before I thought about strategy, leadership, or consulting, I was a communicator—the kid who loved to write, wasn’t afraid to speak up, and was endlessly interested in people and their stories.

That instinct took me into radio and television journalism, where I spent nearly a decade as a producer, beat reporter, talk-show host, and local news anchor. Journalism taught me to listen closely, ask the right questions, get to the heart of complicated issues, and explain not only what was happening, but why it mattered.

Those skills have shaped everything I’ve done since. My career has taken me from the newsroom into public relations and communications, higher education, local government, nonprofit leadership, business development, consulting, and coaching. Along the way, I earned a master’s degree in Public Policy & Administration and became a Certified Life Coach.

Greater Good is where those experiences come together.

After more than 30 years working across journalism, communications, government, higher education, nonprofit leadership, business development, and consulting, I’ve learned that organizations rarely struggle because people don’t care. More often, people care deeply—but priorities become unclear, communication breaks down, or everyone becomes so busy doing the work that there’s little time to think about where they’re going.

That’s where I do some of my best work.

I help leaders and organizations step out of the noise, ask better questions, have conversations that matter, and turn good intentions into practical action. Whether we’re working on strategy, leadership, succession, organizational change, or communication, my approach starts with listening—not arriving with all the answers.

Sometimes the right question can change what people see—and what they do next.

The work is professional. The reason I do it is personal.

I care about people. I care about organizations doing work that strengthens communities. And at this point in my life and career, I’m increasingly aware that our time matters.

My work and speaking reflect the things I care deeply about—creating more inclusive communities, standing with LGBTQ+ people, encouraging women to trust their voices and their value, supporting those who care for others, and reminding people that it is never too late to decide what the next chapter of life can mean.

I believe we can use what we’ve learned, trust what we know, and make deliberate choices about how we want to live and contribute now—not someday.

Greater Good grew from that belief. I want to use what I’ve learned over more than three decades to help people and organizations do work that matters—and do it well.

Let’s do some good.

If you’re leading an organization, navigating change, planning what comes next, or looking for a speaker who can bring experience, perspective, and heart to the conversation, I’d love to hear from you.
